The engineering DNA of a global tier-one consultancy — relocated to the Gulf.

The firm draws its craft from the AI labs and engineering organisations below. The team has relocated to Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Manama, Kuwait City and Muscat to build a sovereign engineering firm of, and for, the region.

THE WEDGE

Why wesolutions, and why now.

Senior, from the start.

Every engagement is led by a senior engineer who personally sat at the desk where the problem was first solved. The DNA is McKinsey QuantumBlack, BCG X, Palantir, OpenAI and the AI labs of the UK and US.

Local, by construction.

Every pod is staffed to exceed the local nationalisation threshold of its market — because our Academy brings a new cohort of GCC-national engineers into the firm every year, each paired with one of our most senior engineers.

Sovereign, by design.

Every line of code we ship runs inside a cloud your regulator has already approved, on infrastructure your sovereign data office has already cleared.

THE THESIS

Most consulting firms send slides. We send engineers — and we send the senior lead with them. A wesolutions pod arrives in week one with a senior lead, a tech lead, two senior engineers, a forward-deployed PM, a compliance liaison, and a pair of Academy engineers from the country we are serving. They stay until the system is in production, owned by the client, and earning its keep.

01

The senior lead is the engineer.

The senior lead who signs the proposal also sits at the desk. There is no lead-to-associate ratio because there is no pyramid.

02

Senior, brought to the Gulf.

Median engineer tenure: 12+ years. The senior bench is European, British and American by origin; it now lives in the region full-time.

03

Local, grown deliberately.

Every Academy engineer is paired with a named senior. Our target: within 36 months, the Academy engineer leads their own pod. This is how localisation becomes durable.

WHAT WE BUILD

Four practices. One operating model.

01

Sovereign AI Platforms

Reference architectures, model-serving stacks and evaluation pipelines deployed inside in-country clouds (G42, Oracle, Azure UAE, Nutanix Sovereign). Stand up in 6–10 weeks.

Read the method →
02

Mission-Critical Agents

Production agentic systems for casework, intelligence triage, customer operations, fraud, claims and inspections. Built to your data, not to a demo. First agent live in 8 weeks.

Read the method →
03

Custom Model & Data Engineering

Fine-tuning, distillation, retrieval and evaluation for Arabic-first workloads, including dialect-aware NLU for Khaleeji, MSA and Egyptian Arabic.

Read the method →
04

AI Adoption at Scale

Cleared trainers, bilingual playbooks, change programs and operator enablement. Measured by adoption rate, not attendance.

THE OPERATING MODEL

A 24-month engagement, in six phases.

Every wesolutions engagement runs on the same operating cadence. A senior lead is named on day one and remains on the file for the full 24-month arc. Academy engineers from the country of delivery join in week one and — by design — inherit the system at handover.

00Week 0 – 2

Mobilise

Partner-led scoping with the client's executive sponsor. Sovereign-cloud onboarding paperwork initiated with SDAIA, TDRA, NDMO, NCA or the relevant regulator. Pod named, cleared and on the ground. No slideware — a signed engagement charter and a running dev environment inside the client's tenancy.

01Week 2 – 6

Discovery

Two senior engineers and one engagement lead sit at the desk where the problem lives. We instrument the workflow, interview the operators in Arabic and English, and produce a Systems Dossier: data lineage, decision points, latency budgets, failure modes, and the exact human step the agent will replace or augment.

02Week 6 – 12

Prototype

Working software against real client data — never a demo. Evaluated weekly against a pre-agreed metric tree (accuracy, cycle time, cost per decision, refusal rate). Fine-tuning, retrieval and eval pipelines built inside the sovereign perimeter. Client engineers pair with our seniors from day one.

03Week 12 – 20

Production

Hardening, red-teaming, DPIA and model-risk sign-off with the client's compliance function. Rollout to a first business unit under a lead-signed operational readiness review. First measurable business outcome — not a pilot metric — booked before go-live.

04Month 5 – 12

Scale

Roll-out across business units, geographies and languages. Arabic-first evaluation harness runs continuously. Academy engineers assume tech-lead responsibilities under senior supervision. Cost-to-serve and adoption curves reported monthly to the client's board.

05Month 12 – 24

Handover

The system is owned, extended and operated by the client's own engineers — several of them Academy graduates hired by the client at the end of their apprenticeship. wesolutions steps back to an advisory posture. The senior lead remains personally on call.

THE WESOLUTIONS ACADEMY

We do not promise local talent. We build it.

The wesolutions Academy is a 24-month master-and-apprentice program in which our senior engineers and principals mentor hand-selected graduates of ten universities across five GCC countries: KFUPM, KAUST, Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University, Prince Sultan University, Khalifa University, NYUAD, AUS, Qatar University, Sultan Qaboos University and Kuwait University. Academy engineers earn a full firm salary and sit on live client engagements from month one; national wage-support programmes such as HRDF, Nafis and Tamkeen apply wherever the hire qualifies. This is the mechanism by which our pods meet and exceed local nationalisation thresholds — and by which our clients' own scorecards improve.

REF · WES-JAN2026-01SOVEREIGN WEALTH

Reducing deal-screening cycle time at a GCC sovereign wealth fund.

I. SITUATION
A Tier-1 GCC sovereign wealth fund (AUM > USD 400bn) was screening more than four thousand opportunities a year, and its analysts were spending sixty to seventy percent of their week on first-pass triage.
II. INTERVENTION
A fourteen-person pod, embedded in the investment office for eleven months, shipped an agentic investment-memo system into production in week ten. It runs entirely inside the fund's own sovereign-cloud tenancy, with retrieval over the client's deal history.
III. OUTCOME
82% less time from teaser to first-pass IC memo. 4.3× deals screened per analyst per quarter at constant headcount.

Cutting unplanned downtime on an upstream asset by 31%.

I. SITUATION
An upstream asset of a Tier-1 NOC was losing production hours to unplanned shutdowns on rotating equipment, despite a mature reliability programme.
II. INTERVENTION
A twenty-two-person pod, eleven of them Qatari engineers, embedded in the asset's operations centre for fourteen months. The predictive-operations agent went live on one compressor train in week fourteen and then across the asset.
III. OUTCOME
31% reduction in unplanned downtime on instrumented assets. About USD 86m in annualised production uplift, audited by client finance.

Re-architecting a federal ministry's flagship citizen-services platform.

I. SITUATION
A federal ministry's flagship citizen-services platform, handling several million transactions a year in Arabic and English, had reached the end of its useful life, and call-centre escalations had risen for six consecutive quarters.
II. INTERVENTION
An eighteen-person pod re-architected the platform over nine months and added an Arabic-first conversational layer, with every model running inside the ministry's sovereign-cloud perimeter. The first production cut-over came in week eleven.
III. OUTCOME
73% of citizen interactions resolved without human escalation, against a 41% baseline. Median response time of 4.6 seconds in Arabic and English.
