The wesolutions
Academy.
A 24-month master-and-apprentice program through which we grow the largest cohort of sovereign-ready GCC-national AI engineers in the Gulf — and the mechanism by which our pods exceed every local nationalisation threshold.
Vision 2030 and We the UAE 2031 demand sovereign AI capacity at a scale the region's universities cannot graduate engineers fast enough to supply. Localisation, as a result, cannot be solved by hiring quotas. It must be solved by training.
The most credible localisation strategy in the Gulf is not a hiring quota. It is an engineering school inside an engineering firm. The wesolutions Academy is that school.
1,500 applicants per cohort across 8 GCC universities, narrowed to 60 through a technical interview process designed and chaired by the firm.
Every Academy engineer is paired with a senior engineer or principal for the full 24 months. Pairings are public inside the firm.
Academy engineers are billed at a junior rate from week one on live client engagements. They earn a full firm salary.
By month 36, ≥70% of Academy graduates are leading their own pod. By month 60, the most senior take Principal Track.
Formal partnerships with the eight institutions above govern the firm's recruitment funnel, joint research seats, and per-university intake quotas (10 engineers per university in 2026; 20 in 2027). All Academy engineers retain access to their university's research community for the duration of their 24-month programme.
Funded with the sovereign, routed to the client.
The Academy is co-funded with HRDF (KSA), NAFIS (UAE), Tamkeen (Bahrain) and the equivalent national programmes in Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.
The subsidy attached to an Academy engineer on a client engagement is routed to the client, not retained by the firm. This is a commercial commitment, written into every engagement letter.
On a typical 18-month engagement with two Academy engineers, the routed subsidy is material — and it compounds across consecutive engagements.
Every engagement with wesolutions actively grows the sovereign AI engineering capacity of your country. We do not merely meet the local nationalisation quota. We expand the national pool from which it is drawn.
