wesolutions was founded in 2024 by a small group of senior engineers from Palantir Forward Deployed Engineering, McKinsey QuantumBlack, BCG X and Google DeepMind. Each of them had spent the previous decade shipping AI systems for sovereigns — and each had reached the same conclusion: that the Gulf's sovereign AI ambition was being underserved.
The large global consultancies sent strategy. The Silicon Valley vendors sent licenses. The local boutiques sent juniors. None of them sent the senior engineer who would still be at the desk in week eleven.
We relocated. The founding team moved to Riyadh and Abu Dhabi. We hired the first cohort of GCC-national engineers — the wesolutions Academy — and we paired each of them with a senior lead from week one. Two years later, the firm has thirty-eight senior engineers and principals, one hundred and twenty Academy engineers in active development, six regulated entities across the GCC, and a single operating model: senior engineers in the room, alongside the local engineers who will inherit the work.
