THE REGULATORY LANDSCAPE

Qatar's nationalisation regime was codified into Qatarization Law No. 12 of 2024 (effective April 2025), with a national target of 20% Qatari nationals in the private sector by 2030. The law introduces graduated fines from QAR 10,000 to QAR 100,000 per violation, and non-monetary sanctions including restrictions on visa quotas and disqualification from public contracts.
